Sturdy desk, but had some issues
I like the desk—it's solid and feels well made. However, I had some trouble getting in touch with Colby about a couple of faulty slides on the filing cabinet. I reached out to him through the Hawkins Woodshop website and didn't hear back at first. After a bit, he did respond and provided some tips that helped me out. If the drawer gets stuck when you're putting it in, just push from the bottom and the top at the same time, and it'll work better. Overall, I'm happy with the desk!

I put this together for my wife even after enjoying a few drinks, and it took me about 5 hours. The instructions were super straightforward. You can pretty much do it solo, but having someone help with the desktops is a good idea for better alignment. The table feels sturdy and the quality is there. My wife thinks it looks. The desk is solid and well-built, but reaching out to Colby for replacement parts took longer than expected. The filing cabinet slides were faulty, and I tried contacting them through their site but didn't hear back right away. They eventually responded and gave me some tips to make it work better. If the drawer jams when you’re installing it, push down on the fluted panel while pushing from the top, then keep opening and closing it until it slides right.
