Great solution for my Surface Pro 8
I picked up a Microsoft Surface Pro 8 along with the matching keyboard cover for my CAD projects. Using a tablet on my lap wasn’t working out; I needed something more stable since I'm always using my 3D mouse and a regular mouse too. This lap board was exactly what I needed. My Surface Pro 8 and keyboard fit just right in the tablet slot, with space on the sides for both mice while I enjoy movies with my family on the couch. The slot is deep and wide enough that I don’t even have to use the kickstand, which only works for the MS Surface keyboard cover, not others. The lap board is comfortable, and I appreciate the small lips on the edges that keep my mouse from rolling off when I move around. I haven't washed it yet, but it looks easy to take the filling out and clean the cover. Overall, this product really enhances my experience and solves a problem I was facing, all at a great price.

I'm really happy with this lap desk! It's just the right size for a writing pad and a small keyboard, and I can even balance my phone and the attachable light I got (also from Hawkins Woodshop) on it. Most others I've seen just aren't wide enough, but this one is. The little stopper at the bottom is a nice touch, keeping my tablet from sliding off. My only downside is that the first two I ordered arrived used, but I can overlook that because I truly love this desk. The handle is easy to grab, and the cushioned bottom is comfy!

Great lap desk
I really like this lap desk! It fits my 16" MacBook Pro perfectly and still leaves some space for my iPhone. It's the right size to take on road trips, and the handle makes it easy to carry since it's light. I do wish the cushion was raised about an inch more; I have to cross my legs to get it to the height I prefer. It's comfortable with those little bead fillings, and I appreciate the removable cover for cleaning. There’s also an elastic loop on the side, but it's a bit big for storing pens or pencils.

This lap desk is nice and the perfect size for personal use. The holder for my tablet and phone is a handy addition. I do think the spring-loaded rail could be improved; it would be nice if it clicked down and released up instead. It's a little too light, which can let devices slide off easily. However, the desktop has a good texture that keeps things from slipping too much. Overall, I'm pleased with this purchase. My daughter adores it and uses it constantly. It's comfy on her lap and works great on her bed while she does her homework.
