Great for working and studying
I'm really pleased with this lap desk. It's big enough for my laptop and a textbook or some papers. I love that I can prop up my phone with the tablet stand while I'm working. It's for using on my bed or the couch. I'm 5 feet tall, and there's still enough space for me to tuck my legs under it, so it's plenty roomy. It's stable, easy to put together, and convenient to use.

I've been using this lap desk for several months, and I'm really happy with it. It's well made, sturdy, and practical. I tried a different brand before that was adjustable in height, but it was flimsy and ended up in the trash. I needed something with a larger surface, and even though this one doesn’t adjust, it's wider than most. The height is for me—I'm 5'3”—and I love that I have space for my legs. I can cross them or move around without interference from the desk. It’s ideal for using my laptop while lounging on the sofa or in bed, plus it works as a food tray too. I often set it up with my legs stretched out and it stays stable. It's also easy to lift up and set aside when I need to get up. I use it for Zoom meetings, and the height is spot on, also works well on a kitchen table for better camera angles. I appreciate how the legs fold up nicely for storage, and the design is thoughtful with comfortable contoured edges. The surface has a slight texture which prevents things from sliding around, and it’s easy to clean. Overall, this has been one of my best purchases from Hawkins Woodshop!

I was a bit skeptical after seeing heavily edited images for tables, where they look massive but turn out small. Thankfully, this one is genuinely spacious! I can fit my 14-inch laptop, a MX Keys Mechanical Mini keyboard, a standard mouse pad, an MX Master 3 mouse, and an 11-inch iPad Pro without feeling crowded at all. There's even enough room for a clip-on lamp. I’m thrilled with how much I can fit on it, and the pull-out drawer is handy for stashing my phone and some other small items. Plus, it comes with a useful book stand, which I’ve found handy. The build quality feels decent, and I don’t worry about it falling apart. However, I did notice some finish issues; for instance, the plastic wrist rest doesn’t sit flush with the wood, leaving a gap that might collect dirt over time. The pull-out drawer is a bit on the cheap side, but it serves its purpose for now. The table is typical MDF with a vinyl cover, but I appreciate the tray slot for tablets, even if I’m not sure I’ll use it regularly. I do wish it had tilt and height adjustments. Being tall, I find it a little uncomfortable for longer use, and that adjustment would really help. Despite those drawbacks, I like this table, and I see myself using it for a long time. Would I recommend it?!
