2-in-1 Monitor Arm with Laptop Tray, Fits 17-Inch Laptops, Black

Two things on one arm. A monitor bolts to the VESA plate at either 75 by 75 or 100 by 100 millimeters, and a detachable tray below carries a laptop, so the notebook stops lying flat on the desk with your neck bent over it. The tray takes laptops up to 17 inches and 22 pounds. The monitor side handles screens from 17 to 34 inches at up to 26.4 pounds. MacBooks and Chromebooks sit on it the same as any Windows machine.

Movement is where a gas spring arm earns its price over a stiff friction joint. This one tilts from 45 degrees down to 70 degrees up, swivels 180 degrees, rotates a full 360 for portrait orientation, and raises up to 17.3 inches, with a maximum extension of 19.3 inches from the mounting point. The spring holds whatever position you set rather than drifting downward over the course of an afternoon, and repositioning takes one hand.

The laptop tray is perforated, and those holes are not decoration. A laptop sitting flat on a solid surface chokes its own bottom vents, and the open tray keeps air moving under the chassis so the fans are not spinning up every time you join a video call or compile something. The tray also detaches completely, so if you later move to a single monitor setup you are not stuck with a bracket you cannot remove.

Mounting works two ways. A clamp grips the back edge of the desk, or a grommet base drops through an existing cable hole, and either method fits desktops from 0.39 to 2.76 inches thick.
