Stylish and a great choice!
I just finished setting this up on my own, and it took about 3.5 hours. The instructions are mostly diagrams, but everything is numbered, which made it pretty straightforward. One thing to note is that the inside is quite slippery. I let my dog check it out, and while it's a perfect fit for him, he could easily slip around, so I plan to cover the bottom well to avoid that! I appreciate the storage space on top. While assembling, I realized I shouldn't tighten the locks too much, since it makes them tricky to move. Overall, it feels sturdy, but be sure to tighten all the bolts enough to keep the sides secure. I think it looks lovely in my kitchen, and it doesn’t have that typical cage look. My pup was unhappy in his old wire crate—he even started trying to escape! If you want something that looks nice and keeps an escape artist like mine secure, this is a solid option. I was a bit hesitant to buy this kennel due to the few reviews and the way it seemed somewhat cheap in the photos. But it was the only one that fit my needs for length and had a storage area on top. I’m so glad I went for it! Putting it together was fairly straightforward—the instructions were typical for these builds, with clear images that sometimes didn't specify exact directions. It took a few hours, but I managed without too much trouble. As for sturdiness, the kennel feels solid overall, though I suspect the door latches might not hold up forever if my dog really tries to escape. The appearance is a pleasant surprise; it looks way nicer in person than the advertisement suggests! It’s a beautiful addition to my office and has a clean, elegant look. I chose the gray option with no marbling. Durability remains to be seen, but the size is. I love how spacious it is for my 65lb pitbull. Previously, he couldn’t fully stretch out in his old kennel, but this one gives him the freedom to spread out completely. I heard some mention a lack of divider, but there's actually a piece that hangs down from the top like a ceiling strut, which is something to think about for taller dogs.
