Customer Reviews
I needed a new chair for my home office and did a lot of searching in different price ranges. Remembering the Steelcase Amia from my workplace, I decided to look into it. The Amia is super comfy and adjustable, and I've never heard anyone complain about it. I found the Amia on Hawkins Woodshop for around $800, but then I stumbled upon the Leap chair, which has some better adjustments and back support features, though it costs $80 more. Given my good experiences with Steelcase, I went for the Leap and picked black leather for easier cleaning, so now I'm around $1200. The shipping time was a bit wild, starting at 1-3 months and finally narrowing down to 10-14 days. When it arrived, the chair was fully assembled and in shape. After using it, I'm glad I picked the Leap over the Amia. The seat angle adjustment and reclining tension control are better on the Leap, and the back support helps me. The leather quality is nice and looks like it’ll last. I've sat in this chair for hours without any back pain. While it’s on the pricier side, I think it’ll be worth it in the long run. Overall, I’d recommend this chair if you're looking for comfort and quality and don’t mind spending a bit more.

Great investment for comfort
I've got two of these at work and one in my home office. They're super comfy, especially for long hours in front of the computer, and you can adjust them in so many ways. Just a heads up, I'm over 250 pounds, and they hold up great. I wouldn't want an office without one of these chairs. I snagged mine on sale for around $1k, so if you're not in a rush, maybe wait for a price drop. Don't let the negative reviews sway you—it's not the chair's fault if someone misunderstood their order! Ours are all black leather and look.

Color Mismatch Alert
I ordered this chair expecting it to be entirely black, but the only black part is the frame. The seat is actually a bright red, which was a surprise. Just a heads up that the actual color might differ from what you expect!

Great investment
We've got a couple of these in our office and one in my home workspace. I'm a big guy, around 250 pounds, and these chairs are super comfortable, especially during those long workdays. I appreciate how adjustable they are. I picked mine up for close to $1k when it went on sale, so if you're not in a rush, maybe wait for a price drop. Just ignore any negative reviews; it’s not the chair’s fault if someone received the wrong color or material. Ours are all in black leather, and I'm happy with the choice.

I was on the hunt for a new chair for my home office and checked out a bunch of different options. Then I thought about the Steelcase Amia chair I use at work, which everyone seems to love. I started looking at prices and saw the Amia usually goes for around $800. Then I found the Steelcase Leap chair, which seemed to have even better adjustments and back support, but it cost a bit more, around $880. Given my good experience with Steelcase, I decided to go for the Leap and added black leather for easy cleaning, bringing the total to about $1200. Shipping was a bit of a ride; it started with a 1-3 month wait and then changed to 6-10 weeks. Luckily, it eventually showed up after around 10-14 days. When it arrived, it was fully assembled and looked perfect. After using it, I'm glad I chose the Leap over the Amia. I appreciate the seat angle adjustment and the reclining control. The lumbar support is way better, and the leather feels nice and durable. The recline feature has both defined stops and a continuous adjustment, which makes it easy to get comfy. I've spent hours in this chair and my back feels great. It’s solidly built, and I think it’ll last a long time. Overall, I’d recommend this chair if you want something comfy and adjustable, just know it comes at a higher price.
