Affordable TV stand with plenty of storage!
This is a good entry-level TV stand! I just moved into a small studio apartment and need to stick to a budget, so I found this at Hawkins Woodshop. I picked it because it was cheap, it has 6 drawers for a lot of storage, and it comes with that fun LED light strip you either love or hate. My TV is about 53" - 55" and it fits perfectly with some extra space. With limited storage in my studio, finding something with lots of room was key, and I'm really happy with this choice. I've assembled over 30 pieces of furniture from boxes, and I'd say this one is about a 3/10 in terms of difficulty—it was easy to put together! The downside to the easy build is that the drawers are made of fabric and they don't slide on ball bearing tracks. That makes them a bit flimsy, so I'm cautious about storing heavy items in there; I’m using them for clothes. I’m also a bit worried about how long the drawers will last since they rub against each other when opening and closing. I can see that being an issue down the line, so I might upgrade to a sturdier stand later on as I don't think these will hold up forever. Another tip is to MEASURE the height of the stand in your space. I got a 16" bed frame for my 10" mattress (26" total) and the TV stand is right in front of my TV. I wish I'd gone for a shorter frame since the TV aligns with my mattress height, which means I sit a little higher up on the bed than I'd prefer, and my feet sometimes block the view of the TV!
