Great table!
I'm a single mom, so it's just me to handle putting things together. I actually put off assembling this table for about three months since I often deal with pain and have some days where I can't focus. But when I finally got to it, it was pretty straightforward to set up by myself. The trickiest part was attaching the hinges on the top and sides. It would have helped to have someone there to hold the top in place while I screwed in the hinges. It took me around 2.5 hours, but I'm sure it would go faster with a buddy. Everything fit just right, and I didn’t find any defective or missing pieces. The wood has a nice quality to it, and the storage space is a great feature. Overall, I'm happy with my purchase!

We take our time when buying online and read a bunch of reviews. This Lift Top Coffee Table really lives up to the hype. It looks great, feels solid, and came in shape. It was also pretty straightforward to put together. I’d suggest watching the video on Hawkins Woodshop; it makes assembly a lot easier, especially if you’re worried about messing up. All the parts were there, plus some extras, and everything was clearly labeled. Just be careful with the smaller screws. We had a bit of trouble with the springs for the lift, but a pair of pliers helped. Overall, this table is a great deal for the price. The label was tough to take off and we ended up with a lot of foam to throw away, but those are small issues. Happy with our purchase!

Awesome table, really sturdy and fairly simple to put together
I’m really pleased with this table! It showed up at my place with some box corners a bit banged up, and I was worried about the wood. But I was happily surprised because it was packed well. The assembly instructions could be a bit much, so lay everything out before diving in. I appreciated that every piece was labeled with the right hardware. You need two people to put it together, especially when it comes to the metal hinges for the lift top. It was a bit tricky since there are 8 screws on each side, so having someone else to help hold the top is a good idea. Once it was all set up, the table looks and works perfectly. The extra storage under the lift top is a nice touch for stashing stuff out of sight. I'm happy with my purchase and recommend it!

Putting this together was a breeze, took me a little over an hour with clear instructions. The quality is definitely better than IKEA. There are way more fasteners than I've seen with IKEA products. It’s sturdy and has some weight to it.

Great table and solid support
I ordered this table because I really liked the lift-top design. The first one I got had a problem with damaged screws, which was a letdown. I reached out to Hawkins Woodshop, and while they didn't have replacement parts, they were quick to respond. I had to pay $60 for returning the heavy table, but they eventually sent me a prepaid label. Once I sent the broken one back, they shipped a new one right away. Putting it together was easy, and now that it's all set up, I'm loving it! It feels sturdy and is a deal for the price. I'd give both the table and the company five stars for their customer service! One tip: when assembling, you're working upside down until the top is on.
