I have a lot of books, and I'm currently trying to make some room in our bedrooms. These bookshelves fit my needs perfectly. They don't take up too much space and are solid enough for what I need. The black color is simple and goes with just about everything. They were easy to put together and priced well. They look like they're made of wood, or really good at pretending to be!

I'm really happy with these shelves! They look great and are sturdier than I expected for something at this price point. Pros: - The color is beautiful and suits both modern and farmhouse styles, so it's easy to match with other furniture. - Assembly was straightforward and while the instructions suggest two people, I managed it solo. It took me longer than 50 minutes since I was watching TV while doing it, but it wasn’t hard at all. - The back panels fit into notches instead of being nailed on, which is a game changer. Unlike other budget shelves I’ve seen that use flimsy backs, these stay put nicely. - The screws are bronze, so they blend in better if you skip using the stickers provided to cover them. - The stickers do mimic the wood grain, which is a nice touch even though they didn’t match perfectly for me. Cons: - You’ll need your own Phillips screwdriver, but everything else is in the box. - The screw stickers didn’t quite match the shelves, which can make them stand out a bit. However, if the shelves are placed vertically, you won't notice them. - It doesn't include wall anchors, so if you have little ones, keep that in mind for safety. - The labels on the pieces were a bit tricky to get off; I had to scratch some of them off, but it didn’t damage the shelves. Overall, the downsides are pretty minor, and I think these shelves are a value for something not made of real wood. I don’t expect them to last forever, but I feel like they’ll hold up better than many other options I looked at. I’d buy more!
