Exactly what I hoped for!
Update, March 17, 2026: we still have this mattress and still love it! If i didn't know better I'd think it was brand new. I'm actually updating this review because I came here to see how long we've had it after recommending it to someone, lol. Oh, adding to the injury list, hubby dislocated and broke his shoulder last year. Zero complaints for the mattress during many months of recovery! Most definitely a great buy for us!!!‐‐------------------This mattress wasn't my first choice, but it came up as "try this instead" when my first choice wasn't available. We decided to give it a try, as our previous mattress was an unknown, but large, number of years old. Hubby broke his back a few years ago in a motorcycle accident. I've sprained my back twice and seriously injured my shoulder twice (no fun as a side-sleeper). Support as well as 'give' is of paramount importance. Its hotter than blazes in Texas, too, so something that helps keep us cool is money well spent. I guess I don't know for sure how well that works but hubby has not complained about being hot, and I still sleep under the sheet and blanket. Its soft and firm at the same time. Its truly a pleasure to use. We watch tv mostly in our room from bed, so it gets much more use than just sleep. Hubby and I don't feel each other move around. There was no period of "getting used to" the mattress. It was comfortable from day one. It is 10" tall so I do need to buy deeper-pocket sheets and our current short-term solution is to use those sheet clip things. It arrived on time, and poofed up exactly like it was supposed to. We laid it out in the morning and slept on it that night. For the price I honestly don't have high expectations for longevity, and I'll be happy if it lasts a few years.... Lord knows I do hope to be pleasantly surprised. However, under the assumption that this is most likely short term, it's more than worth it to us and we're very happy with it so far!

So I needed a new mattress, my old mattress was extremely firm (and old). I wanted to try a foam mattress but was worried about the firmness and comfort, especially since it was impossible to check out the mattress before purchasing. And I live in a place where it is very difficult, if not impossible, to return it (the other popular foam mattress company I spoke with would not honor their refund policy because of my location). So I bought this (queen sized) mattress on day as it was incredibly cheap and if I didn't like it, I could put it in the guest bedroom. It came in the box and I opened it up and it expanded quite quickly. I felt that the mattress took four or five days to fully firm up, but I slept on it after the first day. My first night was not so good. The edges are not as firm as the middle and so I quickly learned to sleep nearer to the middle. The mattress was certainly not as firm as my old mattress. I sunk in a bit (I am 6"3, 220) but I did not think the "sink" was excessive. The "sink" did make turning over from side to side more difficult. Anyway, as I stated, I did not sleep well for the first night and in fact the next week was pretty bad as well and I was thinking that this was simply not going to work. But I kept using it and now it is much better. I think my old mattress was so firm that the transition was particularly difficult. I actually like the mattress now and am getting restful nights. That being said, I would prefer that the mattress be firmer and the edge support be better. The mattress seems to be well made. I don't remember there being any obnoxious odors after unpacking and if there were, the quickly dissipated. I hope my satisfaction for the mattress continues to improve and that it lasts. I would recommend purchasing this to a friend.

It's been a fun.... Ride... Lay down... (6 year update)
My stats: 6'1" 200lbs pinched spinal column, sciatic nerve impingement, poor sleeper, hot sleeperAbsolutely love this matress. When it arrived it was packed well. Upon opening I had doubts it would expand fully. Took it to an open room and cut open vacuum sealed bag. Bed started expanding rapidly. A few hours later and it looked completely expanded but I followed the directions and waited. 72 hours later it was ready. I pressed on the top of the bed and I was worried, it felt stiff almost hard. I then laid on it and my worries went away as it formed around me beautifully. It is firm but very comfortable. The initial smell of plastic was almost completely gone. The first night I we slept on it I did not wake once during the night and awoke feeling really good. I have a bad back and since sleeping on this mattress I have noticed that I awaken with less back pain and stiffness. I am sleeping a lot better also. The gel top on this mattress is amazing as it keeps a nice cool layer even if you stay in the same spot for a long time. When summer comes I see this being a huge plus. Pros: Firm but giving, cooling, even firmness over the entire surface area, smell fades within daysCons: Honestly none as of yetI will update in a month or two.4 month update:Looks and feels brand new. No dents, soft/hard spots, and no signs of wear or breakdown. We live in western Pennsylvania and it has been in the 90s during the day and 68-72 at night. The beds gel layer has been a Godsend. I go to bed 2-3 hours after my wife and when I sit and then lay down she never knows. My back has been better in these last 3 months than it has been in years.1 year update:Still looks brand new. No bowing or drooping areas. Every night the wife and I get in it feels like the first night we slept on it. This mattress has literally helped me get the best sleep in the last year than I have in 20+ years of having a bad back.2 year update:Yes, still in love! Every night feels like the first night in this dream. Cooling still works great, it is still the same firmness as when brand new, and it stills forms to my body perfectly. Would and will buy again!5 year update:Still like perfect. Every night is a great sleeping experience. Holding up like it is new.6 year, and final, update:Sleep like a baby even though this mattress is 6 years old. Amazing mattress. We are buying a new mattress due to placing this one in our guest room. Many, many, nights of rest left in this one but it will now be enjoyed by any guests who happen to stay at our home... Or me if I get in the doghouse with the wife 😆. Not saying goodbye, just hello to a new, exact same, mattress. It is still like new but for a Jack and Coke stain and maybe some drool 🤤 marks. I searched for weeks for a new mattress. I read so many reviews,and just didn't feel comfortable with any of them. A friend of my sister's purchased this bed and highly recommended it,so I thought I'd give it a shot. The friend and her husband both suffer from back,hip and spinal pain(as do I),and just raved about how they're not waking up in pain. I'm here to tell you,they were right! I don't wake up stiff and hurting anymore. The bed was easy to open and set up. Zero odor. It felt very soft when it first started to expand,but after 48 hours,it was perfect. Firm,but not too firm,and not at all too soft as some of the reviews say. Perfect support. This mattress was well worth the money. I have zero complaints. Sleeping like a champ!
