I got this shelf to hold my DVDs, Blu-rays, CDs, and books, replacing some smaller wooden shelves I had. Overall, I'm really pleased with it. It's spacious, and the adjustable interior makes it easy to set the height I need. I love that it's made of metal instead of flimsy wood, and it looks great in black. The door shuts nicely and it comes with four little magnets to keep it closed. It's sturdy and well-made. The screws are solid, and I was surprised by how heavy it is. My only issue was the assembly. I'm pretty handy, but it took me about an hour and a half to put it together. I ran into some trouble because a couple of the parts were missing labels, so I had to guess on some of them. The instructions are good but could use a bit more detail or pictures. The shelf has to be assembled just right, or it gets tricky to fit the screws in the holes. For some parts, it was easier to stand it up while adding screws, while I had to lay it flat for others. The toughest part was connecting the two sides after attaching the back. Once that was sorted, the rest went together easily, and the doors were a breeze to install—they took me only a couple of minutes. I’m not taking away any stars for my struggles with assembly because it works great and looks nice. I think it's worth the price, especially compared to other metal shelves in the same size range that cost over $200.

Fantastic Locking Cabinet, Easy to Assemble
The cabinet arrived in a well-protected box that easily fit in my SUV. When the delivery guy dropped it off, he handed it right to me, and I had no issues loading it into my vehicle. The packaging kept everything safe, with no dents or scratches at all. You will need an electric screwdriver to put in the 1/2" sheet metal screws and a few bolts for the back, but the instructions are clear and straightforward. I recommend assembling it on a table instead of the floor; it makes things a lot easier. Once I'd put it together, I positioned the frame without the doors and shelves to make it lighter for carrying. My friend and I handled it just fine getting it into a snug spot. After that, the shelves went in super easily with the handy shelf clips, and then I put on the doors. It looks and works great! It has tons of storage space with shelves that are about 10 inches apart, and it also locks if you need that feature, with two keys included. I'm happy with it, especially for the price. I’m not sure how Hawkins Woodshop does it!
