The Collins reads mid-century at a glance, with a rounded wood frame, a button tufted panel set inside it, and the low, calm profile that furniture from that era got right. The upholstery is fabric over foam padding, so the panel gives a little when you sit up against it to read at night, which a bare wood headboard never does.
It is built from rubberwood and MDF and finished in walnut beige, a neutral that sits well next to white bedding, gray, and warmer wood tones alike. In king size it spans 79.5 inches wide and only 1.5 inches deep, thin enough that it adds almost nothing to how far the bed stands off the wall. Height runs 38 to 48 inches. Net weight is 25 pounds, light enough for one person to hold it in place while a second drives the bolts.
The headboard mounts directly to a bed frame and is designed to work with both the Billie and the Margo collections. That compatibility is more useful than it first sounds. If you already own one of those frames, this is a way to change the character of the bed without replacing anything structural, and you can move the headboard between the two frames later if you rearrange. Assembly is required, and it comes with a limited warranty.
Consider the wall before you order. Because this attaches to the frame rather than to the wall itself, the position of the bed sets the position of the headboard, and at 79.5 inches wide it needs a clear span with no switch plates or window trim in the way. Tufting collects dust down in the button wells, so plan on running a vacuum brush across it every few weeks to keep the fabric looking even.
