Great Desk For the Price!!!
I'm really pleased with this desk! It has a nice, clean look and was easy to put together—took about 30 minutes. The design makes it easy to manage cables, and you can attach a power strip or tidy up wires underneath for a neat appearance. It's sturdy and well-made for what you pay, but just a tip: be careful with the middle bars on the legs. If you over-tighten, the legs can bend a bit since they're hollow. I suggest putting the black plastic caps on the bottom bars before attaching the middle supports to avoid any issues. Other than that, I'm happy with my purchase, and the shipping was handled well—no damage at all!

I really love the size of this desk—it's sturdy, which I think comes from all the bolts you have to use. They only provide hex screws and suggest staying away from power tools, so using the included wrenches is tough on the thumbs. That said, this desk is a huge upgrade from my old one. It's rock solid and looks great too! I gave a lower score for 'easy to assemble' because I insisted on doing it myself instead of waiting for my partner to help. The instructions were clear, and it can be put together with the tools they provide. It's built tough. As for the finish, I just set it up last night, so I can't say how well it will hold up over time, but it does look nice, even if it's veneer. I'm pleased with the quality of the parts, just make sure to get a buddy to help you if you're building this. If you need more space, this desk is! I didn't even need to adjust the leg pads—it's perfectly level and solid. Just be prepared for a lot of bolts! I'd order from Hawkins Woodshop again for sure.

Awesome size and solid build - tricky assembly.
This desk is the perfect size and sturdy. A lot of that sturdiness comes from the numerous bolts you'll need to install. They're all hex screws, and Hawkins Woodshop suggested not using power tools, so assembling it with the included hex wrenches will test your thumbs. That said, it's a huge upgrade from my previous desk. It's solid and looks great. I rated 'easy to assemble' lower (5 stars for everything else) because I insisted on putting it together myself instead of waiting for my partner to help. The instructions are clear, and you can do it with the tools they provide. It feels heavy duty. As for the finish, I can't speak to its durability since I just finished assembling it last night, but it looks nice, even if it is veneer. Veneer is fine, as long as it doesn't come off quickly. I liked the quality of the materials, just make sure to get a friend to help you with the assembly! This desk is for anyone needing more space. I didn’t even have to adjust the leg pads, and it is perfectly level and solid. The pieces fit together so well that it just works, but man, there were a lot of bolts to install with that hex screw!
