I used to struggle with a tiny step-on garbage can under my kitchen sink, and it drove me nuts. I couldn't find a good replacement that fit the space, so I settled for what I had. I wanted something that wouldn’t require a foot pedal and looked nice alongside our brushed steel appliances. While this isn’t brushed steel and could be a tad smaller, it’s still a fantastic product—one of my best buys! The black plastic rim holds the bag securely and is easy to clean. Once the bag is changed, I don't need to touch it at all. I’ve had no issues with it opening up when I walk by, and it makes a quiet little noise when it opens and closes. It works perfectly! No batteries come with it, but I think that’s pretty standard. They even included some white garbage bags to get started.

Due to size restrictions, I was using a bathroom sized step-on garbage can under our kitchen sink. It was beyond frustrating to use. There weren’t any others that met my size requirements, so I had to accept that I wouldn’t be able to tuck one in the cabinet. I didn’t want a step-on and preferred it match our appliances which are brushed steel. Although this one is not brushed and I would have preferred it to be slightly smaller, it’s still an excellent product and rates as one of my “best purchases ever”. There is a black plastic rim that keeps the bag in place and is easy to clean. Except for changing the bag, no need to touch. I haven’t had any issues with it opening when I walk by. There is a brief and discreet “hum” as it opens and when it closes. It works like a charm. No batteries are included, but not sure why anyone would expect them to be. A small supply of white garbage bags were included.
