I'm really happy I decided to get this board! I had some reservations after reading certain reviews, but it’s a good quality piece. 1. I’m fine with the color being lighter than in the photo because we all know wood can vary in shade. 2. This 22” x 33” board is heavy, but honestly, I’m a 55-year-old woman and can handle it just fine. The color is exactly what I expected and the fit is. I got it for my gas stove since I'm tired of constantly cleaning the stove top, and while making Christmas cookies, this board was a dream for rolling out dough with easy cleanup. I’m pleased with its durability. I did see some comments about splintering, but mine has none—no cracks, just pure satisfaction, and I can't wait to find more uses for it! I also got the mineral oil and treated it after several days of baking and cleaning.

First I am extremely happy with my decision to purchase this board! I was apprehensive based on some of the written reviews and this is a quality board. 1. Don’t care if it’s a lighter color than the picture because we all know what wood colors are and if not research it. 2. A 22” x 33” wood board with any quality is going to have weight to it, heavy is all relative and I am a 55 year old female with no trouble at all maneuvering. The color is expected! Fit is just right. Now I bought it for my gas stove because I am sick of wiping off the top of the stove continuously but my goodness I was so happy because while making Christmas cookies I used this board to roll sugar cookies with ease and clean up amazing. I am so happy the durability. I also know there was some splintering comments and none, no cracks just very pleased and excited to have more uses than expected! I also bought the mineral oil and after several days of baking an wiping it treated it last night!

Mine arrived with no issues at all, unlike a lot of the reviews. It is quite beautiful with the varying wood tones and nicely accentuates the cedar home I live in. Unlike the features touted in the advertisement, I would never use this as a cutting board as I feel that would take away from the appearance I purchased it for. I love that there are no handles sticking up like a lot of models, being nicely accessed in cut-out form that makes it easy to flip and use as a carrier / server or even to place it stovetop side in the sidewall fashion should you choose. I love everything about it and I have referred it to several friends and family members.
