Good chair that's pretty easy to put together with 5 year warranty
Here are my comments and concerns with model YX001 only. The instructions have a few issues imho: black letters/words printed on a dark/darker background, I literally could not read them at times and had to go to another room with a spotlight to make sure I followed directions. A box around the words are fine, but not a colored box. The 6 star gear shims (piece I) on the arms really needs a better way to identify instead of “placed in the direction of the instructions”. I am not having any issues with the arms so I assume I may have gotten it right. There aren't any instructions when to tighten all the screws that you were told to leave untightened, that could lead to an issue if when you finally get the chair finished and see step 8 saying Done and try to sit in it. Not impossible use the included Allen wrench (great it is included!) to tighten the screws from step 4 to Done because the T-handle will not fit in the now put together space. We have a bunch of regular Allen wrenches so I was able to complete the tightening required. Overall assembly was not that difficult and the time to accomplish it was not longer than expected. While the above caused some delay, the chair is still fine after 4 weeks of continuous use. The chair itself: the lumbar support is very nice and easy to adjust. The arms are attached to the back and the seat seemingly to give more support for them when getting in and out of the chair. The arms lifting up and away is nice. The seat, after a couple of weeks, seems reasonable, not too soft or too hard, the mesh back is nice, and the gas lift feels and sounds solid. The chair would be worth 4.5 Hawkins Woodshop stars, except… I’ve had a lot of office chairs (including work) over my 50+ years of sitting in front of a computer daily: cheap chairs, relatively expensive, and in between. I have a glass floor mat and the chair does not roll freely. There are flat spots on the wheels and it takes effort to get the chair to start to roll anywhere on my mat while sitting in it. The description says they are soft to reduce noise and they do on my mat. When on glass all chairs still make a noise due to the nature of the mat, so that’s not an issue. Compared to the rest of the chair the wheels aren’t up to what I expected and I am concerned about their longevity being soft with a non-circular shape. Perhaps on carpeted floors this might be hidden. Lastly, be aware the description says Lifetime Warranty, however an included index card says 5 years if you send them an email, which I did, but was ignored for a couple weeks. Only after using Hawkins Woodshop to complain about them were my inquiries finally answered. It is indeed only 5 years (not lifetime) which is still a decent amount of years for a chair. I will update this if any issues appear within 5 years.

Comfortable, multi-adjustable and durable desk chair
This is an excellent desk chair, especially for long hours at the computer, but i have to confess that it's taken a little time to get used to it only because this chair and my old faux leather desk chair (also sold on Hawkins Woodshop and pictured below for reference) are at totally different ends of the spectrum. The new violet mesh computer chair is extremely comfortable even after spending most of my days and nights sitting in it since i spend many, many hours daily working, communicating and gaming on my desktop computer. The chair may appear to be lightweight; however, it's got a decent amount of weight to it because of the high quality materials used to make it, especially the solid metal parts that make up the strong and stable base. In my opinion, the ability to adjust the arm rests, seat height and lumbar support proved to be a godsend, which i was not expecting, because it all enhances the versatility and functionality of the chair. Being able to change the chair to recline a bit is probably very useful for many, but I prefer a sturdy, stiff, upright chair back, so i adjusted it accordingly at a set in place 90-degree angle. The lumbar support is especially helpful to maintain proper posture and spinal alignment, yet again there was a small issue in that i generally sit with a slight forward lean or, as stated earlier, with my shoulders directly over my hips. In order to have full back support, you must lean back slightly, and that's an awkward position for me in any chair. The arm rests can be moved down at your sides or in an upright position as if there were no arm rests at all. And i have found myself switching back and forth between the two depending on what i am doing and how much movement i require in the chair. They can also be moved forward and backward a short distance, which i did find a little bothersome when the arm rests were down and i bumped them when i happened to move my arm(s) a little. They do not lock in place, but i'm positive that this is just another little concern that i can easily get used to since the old chair's arm rests were not adjustable at all. Did i mention that it's purple!?! Not the only reason, but definitely one of the main reasons, that i purchased this chair over every other chair i looked at. And there were a lot of them under consideration. It comes in several different colors, including the traditional, brown, white and black, among others, which i really liked a lot since my room of course has a purple theme going on, and this fashionably attractive and functional chair fits in perfectly with the decor and further brightens up the space! I am so happy with this purchase even though it took me 3 hours and not 15-20 minutes to assemble. And that was all on me because (1) i am really slow and methodical when i'm doing new things, taking care with every step to do it right, and (2) i am not handy in the least and can barely hammer in a nail these days. As advertised, all tools, primarily the allen wrench, are included. No parts were missing, and nothing was damaged upon delivery. And, best of all, i can say that i assembled it all by myself perfectly on the first try, so it was well worth the time and effort spent.

After a fair amount of research, reading reviews of office chairs from different manufacturers and price points, I decided to buy this Tralt chair and am extremely glad I did. The chair was very well packed, with each piece clearly labeled and with some of the best assembly instructions I've ever seen. I had it fully assembled in about 15-20 minutes, and I'm 76 with creaky joints (ha!). It's an incredible value for the price, and the quality is superb. I imagine it would be difficult to find a better buy for 2-3X the price. It's very comfortable, raises and lowers with ease, and is a dogsend (spelling intentional) for my back. The manufacturer even offered a free gift, which for me was a set of high-quality casters, and they came less than a week after I received the chair and they followed up with a call to see if I was satisfied with them a day later. Amazing. It's a wonderful chair and the best shopping experience I've had in a long long time. Many digits up!
