Corduroy is an underrated thing to put on a couch. The ribbed stripe catches light along one axis and holds shadow along the other, so a single sage green reads as two or three shades depending on where you are standing and what time of day it is. That is the appeal of this pair of covers. It is color that does not sit flat.

Each cover measures 18 by 18 inches, the standard square that fits the inserts most people already own, and they arrive as a set of two so a sofa or a bed gets symmetry without a second order. Inserts are sold separately. That is deliberate, and it is the reason covers like these exist at all. You keep the forms you have and swap the outside when the season or the room changes.

The fabric is 100% polyester with a silky hand feel, woven as a striped corduroy that leans modern farmhouse in one room and boho in another. Sage green is a forgiving color to build around. It sits comfortably next to cream, oatmeal, warm wood, and black metal, and it does not fight whatever is already on the wall. In spring it lifts a heavy winter sofa without you having to redo anything else. It works equally well on a reading chair or at the head of a bed.

The construction is straightforward and done properly. A hidden zipper runs along one edge, so the insert goes in and out in seconds and nothing interrupts the face of the pillow. The seams are stitched tight to resist fraying, which is where cheap covers give up first, usually right at the corners. The pair together weighs 9.9 ounces, light enough that shipping and storage are trivial and easy to tuck away out of season.

For care, hand washing is what we recommend to protect the pile. A gentle machine cycle followed by a low tumble dry will also do the job, and no ironing is needed either way. They hold a like-new look wash after wash, which is exactly what you want from something that lives where people sit.
