Small tables get judged on one thing, which is whether they hold up to being moved. This one is thickened iron with an eco-friendly painted finish, light enough at 1.87 kilograms to carry one-handed from the sofa to the bedside and back, but solid enough that it does not tip when you set down a full mug.

The top is 13.77 inches across and the table stands 20.47 inches tall. Those numbers were worked out for tight spaces. It slides into a small apartment, tucks beside a chair in a standard living room, and fits in an RV without eating the floor space you need for walking. Next to a bed it lands at a height where you can reach a glass of water without sitting all the way up.

The painted finish resists water and wipes clean, which is the specification that matters most on a table that will hold drinks. A ring from a cold glass comes off with a cloth instead of setting into the surface. The top is stainless steel over a metal frame, finished in black, and one shelf is included.

People end up using the flat top for more than a lamp. A laptop fits. A stack of books fits. Put a tray on it and it becomes the snack table for a movie night, then goes back to holding a lamp the next morning. That flexibility is part of why a round pedestal works better in a small room than a square table with corners to walk into.
