I’m really pleased with this piece. Some people might find the assembly a bit tricky, but if you’re handy with tools, it’s straightforward. Just pay attention to the pictures for part placement—they even include colored stickers to help with that. It’s pretty spacious; I’m tall and my feet touch the floor comfortably, though I can see how shorter folks might feel differently. The mattress is comfortable, and I appreciate that they threw in some extra parts, too. We tested it out with a combined weight of 550 lbs, and it held up perfectly. I got this for my basement since a regular couch wouldn’t fit down the stairs. Using a cordless ratchet wrench with an allen socket sped up the assembly for me. Would recommend and consider buying again!

Great value for hardwood furniture
First off, I just want to respond to a couple of other reviews. Tessa, those photos don’t really reflect the product. It looks like something was jumped on in the center, which wouldn’t happen with normal use. And to the other reviewer, this isn’t 'thin wood.' It’s a futon, after all, not meant to be heavy-duty. It’s perfectly solid for what it is. As for putting it together, it took two of us less than an hour. The instructions were straightforward and everything was labeled well. You’ll need two people to adjust it up or down since it's pretty big. And speaking of size, it's way larger than I expected—feels spacious! The mattress feels comfortable and everything from the frame to the hardware feels well-built. Overall, this is a solid buy if you want to save some cash.
