Get this tall frame! Your cats will thank you!
It took me about 30 minutes to put this together, and it came with everything I needed. The whole process was simple, and the instructions were clear with well-labeled parts. It doesn’t make any noise and feels sturdy enough for me and my mattress. I really appreciate how high it sits because it gives me room to store boxes underneath. My cats love it too! They never used to sit on the bed with me, but now they’ve claimed my spot as their lookout. I don’t need a box spring for my mattress with this frame, but I didn’t have anywhere else for it, so my bed is tall now. I’m using a step stool to get in and out, but my cats are thrilled! For the price, I’m genuinely happy with it. It’s tough and feels well-built, especially since it’s one of the cheaper options. I don’t have a photo of the frame, but it looks just like the pictures. The best part is my cats finally want to hang out on the bed with me now. I think they just needed a little height to feel safe. Cat owners will get why this makes me so happy. Great bed frame and budget-friendly!
I got this bed frame in used mint condition and it was practically new, still in the original packaging. We placed our memory foam mattress directly on it—no need for a box spring. Plus, at 18 inches high, it makes accessing storage underneath so much easier compared to those old, low frames. Sturdy and Supportive
This bed frame is really solid and makes you feel secure when lying on it. The slats do a great job of distributing weight, so there’s no sagging at all. I was able to set it up by myself, which was a breeze. Plus, it's nice and tall compared to my previous bed that was only a few inches off the ground, but that's not a problem given the different heights available. The only issue I've noticed is that the mattress can slide around a bit, but you can easily find clamps to solve that. I'll consider getting another frame from Hawkins Woodshop in the future!

Strong and cheap
I love the 18" frame. I have one for my Queen Sleep Number bed and just got a twin for my daughter. They are cheap and strong and the 18" ones are perfect height for storaging the plastic rubbermaid totes underneath and I can stack two of the shoe organizer bins as well. Its easy to put together with the bolts and allen wrench provided. I suggest using a bunkee board or low profile box spring so that the mattress doesnt end up looking like princess and the pea!
