Comfortable, Well-Padded, and Easier to Set Up Once You Know the Details
I’ve owned several upholstered and platform beds before, and this one feels noticeably more substantial than most of them. The overall design is soft and modern, but what really stands out is how much cushioning there is around the entire frame. The headboard is thick enough to comfortably lean against while reading or watching tv, and the padded side rails and footboard give the bed a much more finished, high-end look than a basic metal or wooden platform bed. One thing worth knowing before delivery is that the bed comes in two separate boxes. In my case, the metal bed frame and the upholstered cloud bed arrived separately, so don’t be concerned if only one package shows up first. Once both boxes arrived, everything needed for the full setup was there. The upholstered sections are compressed for shipping, so they do need some time to fully take shape. Mine looked a little flat and had a few wrinkles right after opening, but the padding gradually expanded and smoothed out over the next several days. I would definitely give it 3–7 days before judging the final appearance. Most of the wrinkles disappeared naturally, and a little gentle steaming can help with any stubborn areas. Assembly itself was much easier than I expected. The foam bed base attaches to the headboard using hook-and-loop fasteners, and then the upholstered section is secured to the metal frame with straps. Once everything is lined up and tightened, the bed feels very stable and the upholstered exterior stays nicely in position. The only part that took me a minute to figure out was installing the metal slats. The easiest way is to firmly snap one end of each slat into the clip first and then lower the other end into place. If the first side is not completely locked in, the slat can slide inward and make it seem like the opposite end is too long or will not sit flat. Once I realized that, the rest went together very quickly. After assembly, the bed feels solid, quiet, and supportive. I haven’t noticed any squeaking, rattling, or shifting when moving around at night. The thick upholstery also makes the frame feel much softer and more comfortable than beds with exposed hard edges. Now that the padding has fully expanded, the whole bed looks smooth, full, and much more expensive than I expected. Between the generous cushioning, sturdy metal support underneath, quiet construction, and clean modern appearance, I’m very happy with the overall quality. It takes a little patience during delivery and expansion, but once everything is set up properly, the finished result is absolutely worth it.
