Shipping from Hawkins Woodshop was quicker than I thought it would be, even living up in Northern Ontario. The bed has quite a few parts to put together, but the instructions are straightforward and easy to follow. It took me roughly an hour to get it assembled. I was a bit worried after reading some of the less favorable reviews, but I ended up being very impressed with this bed. There's one tiny flaw that's hardly noticeable. I'd get this again.

This bed looks great and was pretty straightforward to assemble. Just a heads-up: the instructions say not to tighten the bolts until you're done putting everything together—definitely don’t skip that step! There are a few bolts that will be impossible to tighten if you follow that advice without disassembling things again. 👍

Great Bed Frame
I got the King brown bed frame, and it really looks like dark chocolate with a nice wood grain finish. I matched it with a Zinus 10" memory foam mattress, and it fits perfectly. The delivery was on time, and it showed up via FedEx in a single, hefty box that needs two people to lift. It was packed well, and everything arrived in condition. Putting it together took a bit of time—about 4 hours with just one person—but I bet it would go a lot faster with two. It comes with all the tools you need and extra hardware if you happen to misplace anything. The instructions were easy to follow, and all parts are clearly labeled. For MDF wood, it’s decent quality, and the metal rails and leg supports are strong and quiet when you move around. Plus, there are plastic inserts on the headboard, footboard, and metal supports to protect the floor. Overall, I'm pleased with the bed, though I did run into a small issue during assembly. A couple of bolts almost pushed through the side panels, but once I noticed that, I double-checked the lengths and realized one of the wood support rails was cut a bit narrow. Fortunately, I had some washers that fixed the problem. I’m happy with this purchase!

I’m really happy with this! It's sturdy and doesn't make a sound. It would have been easier to assemble with a buddy, but I got it done solo. The only hiccup was that two holes weren't drilled right, but it didn't mess up the overall setup. I'd give it a 10/10!

This is a very well made bed and great price. I love that the bed is so sturdy and my mattress doesn’t slide off the bed. I was a little worried about the mattress sliding, but it doesn’t. It has a lot of slats for underneath the mattress and all of the slats are connected to each other with a strap. Then they are all velcroed to the bottom of the bed holding 5e slats in place so they don’t move. I love that feature. The woodgrain finish is perfect for my farmhouse bedroom set.

Solid Bed Frame

I received the farmhouse bed frame during the dates promised and it was delievred via FedEx in one box. The box was very heavy and requires at least two people to lift. It was very well packed and nothing was damaged. Assembly was not to difficult but was time consuming as it took 4 hours with one person. I would imagine with two people, assembly would take significantly less time. The bed frame comes with the required tools to assemble and extra hardware in case you loose some. All hardware & bed frame pieces are clearly labeled and instructions were easy to follow. The bed frame overall is a decent quality for mdf wood with elaminate wood grain. The metal rails & leg supports are sturdy and noise free when moving around on the bed. The head board, foot board and metal support legs all have plastic inserts to help protect your flooring. Overall I really like the bed and had only one issue during assembly worth noting. A few of the bolts that go through the side supports rails and screw into the mdf elaminate side panel almost pushed through the wood grain elaminte. Once I noticed this I removed the bolts and verfied they were the correct length. The wood support rail was obviously cut a little to narrow from the factory on one end when comparing it to the other support rails. Luckily I was able to find washers I had laying around and spaced the bolts out enough to correct the issue. Otherwise I'm happy with my purchase of this bed frame.
