I've had this bed for just a couple of days, and I'm really impressed! I opted for the Queen size, and the storage it offers is —holds more than I expected. It's sturdy, simple, and looks beautiful, which is exactly what I was going for. I can't share my thoughts on the assembly since I had someone else put it together for me, but old me would have tackled that myself if I had the time and energy. The bed sits pretty low, but that works for me since I have a smaller mattress. Just a heads up if you're looking for something taller. Overall, making adjustments to the mattress is easy. Great customizable frame for extra storage
I live in a small apartment and really needed more storage space. I got this frame and added wood to raise the base, which gave me an extra 3 feet, totaling almost 4 feet of storage! I love that it doesn't have too many support bars on the ground, so I was able to just add a metal support to what was there without losing storage space or having to work around the legs messing with my stuff. It’s basically like I have a small walk-in closet now. Even after adding the frame and extending the supports, this bed is solid, and I've used it for a few months without any issues—I lift it often, and it's just as easy to move as it was when I first set it up. The slats are sturdy enough to support the mattress without needing a box spring, unlike my last platform bed where the slats were spaced too far apart and made the mattress uneven. Plus, there's no creaking, which is a plus. I keep storage bins under there now, but you could add shelves or a bar to hang clothes like in a closet. The options are endless, and it's way cheaper to DIY what I did than to buy a bed with those features for about $2000. I managed to do it all for under $350, and that even includes building a 2-step platform for getting in bed—though you could just use a step stool too. I appreciate being able to customize it to my own needs and not being stuck with a built-in design.
