Channel tufting is the detail people notice first. The velvet headboard is stitched into tall vertical channels, fully padded across the whole panel, and it adjusts between 47 and 51 inches depending on where you set it. That range exists for a reason. A thick mattress swallows a fixed headboard and leaves you staring at a few inches of fabric, so being able to raise the panel keeps the proportions right no matter what you sleep on.

The foundation is a full run of wooden slats, which makes a box spring optional rather than required. The gap between the slats and the headboard measures from 9.8 to 13.8 inches, covering mattresses between 8 and 14 inches thick. One small piece of engineering deserves a mention. Velcro strips sit under all of the slats where the wood meets the metal frame. Wood rubbing against steel is where bed squeaks come from, and the strips stop that contact before it starts.

Underneath there is 7.9 inches of clearance, enough to slide slippers, storage bins, or a vacuum out of sight. The frame measures 83.3 inches long by 62.4 inches wide by 47 inches high, weighs 67.9 pounds, comes finished in white, and is rated to hold up to 800 pounds. It is built for a standard 60 by 80 inch queen mattress. Everything arrives in a single box with the parts, tools, and instructions included, and two people can typically have it standing within an hour. Line up that second person before you open the box rather than after.
