My daughter has recently developed a passion for records, so we were on the hunt for a stand for her record player and vinyls. I checked out Hawkins Woodshop and was happy to find this stand for a good $20-30 less than other sites. I’ve put together a lot of furniture over the years, so I feel I have a decent perspective on this product and the assembly process. Firstly, I was pleasantly surprised that everything arrived in perfect shape. It's typical for budget furniture to come with some dings or scratches, but that wasn’t the case here. Assembly was pretty easy, though it took a bit longer than I thought, around 30-40 minutes. I spent quite a bit of that time cleaning off the residue from the part number stickers on each piece—a bit of an OCD moment for me. Having a ratchet and hex sockets would speed things up a bit, just be careful not to overtighten anything. I did notice a couple of threaded pieces needed a little tidying up with a tap, but most folks could probably manage without worrying too much about cross-threading. The canvas shelves did arrive quite creased, so I gave them a quick iron. In the end, the stand looks, and my daughter is thrilled with it. I couldn’t be happier with this purchase.
