The screwdriver part tripped me up for a minute since I couldn’t figure out how to separate the head from the handle to switch it. My 13-year-old with no mechanical skills managed to figure it out, though! Overall, it's a solid piece with some good weight. I decided not to use the separators at the bottom, and it still looks great without them. This unit is really versatile—it's not made from flimsy paper; it has a substantial back piece (I think it's called paper board). I wouldn't recommend treating it roughly, but I would suggest using it as a statement piece, a record player stand, or even a side table. It fits well in a living room, bedroom, or kitchen. If you do use the separators, they do a nice job of keeping vinyl collections organized, and if you take them out, you’ve got a ton of options for storage. The compartments are spacious and can hold quite a lot!
