Great shoe storage
Let me start off by saying that this was one of the easiest things I've ever put together. Hawkins Woodshop provided me with visual instructions, which made the assembly super simple. When the package arrived, I was a little nervous since it was a small box and just filled with a bunch of short tubes. I figured it would take a while to set up, but it actually didn’t take much time at all! I started assembling the longer tubes first, and even when I struggled to connect a few, I just tried the other end, and it worked. I built the bottom shelf first by attaching the plastic ends while inserting the tubes, and I’m glad I asked for tips on the questions section because doing one side at a time made a lot more sense. Before I realized it, one shelf turned into the whole rack, and I was amazed at how quickly it all came together. Initially, I thought about going with plastic shoe containers, but I know that plastic isn’t great for leather because it can cause peeling due to lack of breathability. The small ventilation in those boxes would end up making your shoes smell, and no one wants to deal with that issue. The only downside I found is the design of the plastic ends being hollow underneath. I had hoped to flip the rack upside down to create more storage space underneath, but those open areas show quite a bit. I might figure out a workaround later, but it’s not a dealbreaker by any means. For under $20, this is seriously the best shoe storage option out there. It looks nice, feels sturdy, and does exactly what I need it to do. I recommend it!

One thing to note is that it doesn't hold too much weight, so if you have heavier shoes with thick soles, you might see a little bending in the connectors.
