Eight tiers stacked into a footprint 33.4 inches wide and 12 inches deep hold 26 to 32 pairs of shoes, which for most households is the entire collection, in about the floor space a single armchair would take. Total height is 57 inches. All of that capacity is bought vertically rather than horizontally, which is why it fits in a closet or against an entryway wall.
The shelves are not spaced evenly, and that is the part that actually matters. Taller gaps take boots, shoe boxes, and bags. Shorter ones take everyday shoes and heels. Varied heights mean you are not wasting six inches of dead air above every pair, which is how a rack with fewer tiers ends up holding fewer shoes than it should.
Fifteen hooks run along the frame. Keys, umbrellas, bags, and hats go on those instead of piling up on the floor by the door.
