The problem with most nightstands is that the phone still has to charge somewhere else. This one solves that at the table itself, with two 3 prong AC outlets, a USB port, and a Type-C port built in. A 59 inch cord runs to the wall, long enough to reach an outlet that is not directly behind the table, and that extra length is what makes it usable next to a bed or a sofa rather than only in the one spot the plug allows.
Three tiers give the piece more capacity than its footprint suggests. Two of them are open, adjustable shelves, and each can be set up as a solid shelf or a mesh rack depending on what it holds. Books and a lamp want a solid surface. A plant that drips or a stack of magazines is happier on the mesh. Because the shelves adjust, a tall water bottle or a small speaker fits without wasting the space above it.
The table measures 15 inches long, 11 inches wide, and 21.7 inches tall, sized for the narrow gap beside a chair or a bed where a full nightstand would be one piece too many. Matte black metal legs carry wooden shelves in a rustic brown finish, a combination that suits a living room, a bedroom, a balcony, a dorm, or a study without looking out of place in any of them. The structure supports up to 80 pounds, and four adjustable feet let you level it on an uneven floor while keeping the legs from scratching what is underneath.
