Great desk for keeping things organized
I really enjoy this computer desk! The four drawers are helpful for staying organized. I keep my pens, pencils, and a couple of books in there, making my workspace nice and tidy. So much better than ever imagined
Holy cow! I don’t usually write reviews, but this desk is such great quality that I felt I had to write one. My (just turned8-years-old) daughter wanted a desk for her coloring supplies so we searched on Hawkins Woodshop for one. Most of the ones that are small enough to fit in her space and inexpensive enough to justify it being in her playroom were cute, but reviews all said flimsy. I was questioning the quality of this one as the drawers are made of fabric, but I’m blown away! First off, the directions on how to assemble it were so perfectly clear that she basically built it herself! The screw holes were all perfectly lined up, the holes were cut on both sides so you didn’t have to figure out which direction things needed to face (except one part that the picture clarified very well!), and all the screws went in perfectly and easily! Almost all the screws were hex so the Allen wrench that came with it worked. We only got out our screwdriver for one part to hold a screw while the other turned. Safety: even though this desk is almost completely made out of metal, there were no sharp edges! Everything was rounded out, painted over, and completely soft to the touch. It feels sturdy and there are so many support beams that it will definitely not fall apart. This desk is so sturdy, I am sure it will last forever. It’s actually a better quality than the desk I used to work from home with! I’m not sure what the material is that the top is made out of, but it is thick, hard, and heavy… no cheap pressboard here! It feels like some sort of laminate, like a thick slab of lvp flooring, and it looks super cute! The “fabric” drawers are high quality too! Yes, they are fabric (probably have a cardboard insert to keep it standing up) but they feel sturdy! And the front feels like (fake) leather. The handles screw into the drawers like any other real drawer. The fake gold color of the drawer pulls is probably my least favorite part as I feel that fake gold color looks tacky, but that is a “me problem” and doesn’t affect this desk at all. If I really cared, I could paint them. Overall, this desk is so much better than I could have ever expected! Especially for the price, I wouldn’t hesitate to buy this again. As a matter of fact, if I do get to return to work from home, I’ll probably replace my work desk with this or another, bigger one from this company. All I can say is “wow, it’s that great!”
