The gap between the toilet and the vanity. The space under a desk. The narrow slot behind a kitchen cabinet door. Those are the spots this can was shaped for. At 5.83 inches wide it slides into openings a round bin cannot touch, while still measuring 12.6 inches long and 10.63 inches high to hold a real 3.5 gallons, or 13.25 liters. That is enough that a bathroom or bedroom goes several days between emptyings instead of overflowing by Tuesday.
It is molded in black from thickened PP plastic, and the wall thickness is the whole point. Thin bins crack when a knee catches them or when someone presses down to compact what is inside. This one takes impact and pressure without deforming or splitting at the corners. The bottom is raised slightly off the floor, which keeps the base from grinding against tile or hardwood every time it gets pushed around, and that alone adds years to how long it lasts.
The exterior has a frosted texture rather than a high-gloss shine. Scratches do not show the way they do on glossy plastic, fingerprints stay invisible, and the whole surface wipes down in one pass with a damp cloth. The opening is widened relative to the body, so tossing something in from a few feet away actually works, and coffee grounds or vegetable trimmings clear the rim instead of catching on the way down.
A handle is built into the side, which sounds like a small thing until you are carrying a full liner out to the curb or moving the can from room to room on cleaning day. Grip it, lift it, done. No awkward two-handed hug against the front of your shirt.
Black disappears into almost any room, which is part of why this size tends to end up in several rooms of the same house. It works beside a sink, next to a closet, under an office desk, in a dorm room, in a home office, or tucked inside a kitchen cabinet as a slim recycling bin. If you have been trying to make a standard round wastebasket fit somewhere it clearly does not, this is the shape that solves it.
