This is a solid wood piece of furniture that arrived early and in perfect condition. It is more like a small dresser than a nightstand. The only assembly required was turning the knobs around and putting on the legs with bolts through the pre-drilled holes and placing a washer and nut on the other side. I used my hands, but I did have to find a smaller tool than the one provided to finalize tightening the nut. The chest has metal guides that easily and smoothly open and close the drawers. Keep in mind that the chest is real wood, so if it has to go upstairs, and you do not have a lot of upper body strength, either get some help, or slide it up, it has some weight.

Lovely small chest. Had to put on legs and drawer knobs - otherwise, fully assembled. The wood joinery is beautiful and very smooth. Seems like 100% solid oak as advertised.
