Solid and beautiful! Great Price for a great bed!
Never would I imagine a bed delivered in 2 smallish boxes would be so beautiful and sturdy! My first thought was “well this is going back for sure”! I was wrong. This assembled in about an hour with very easy to follow instructions. The manufacturer packaged the hardware in separate bags labeled to match the instructions perfectly, which was very helpful. We are super happy with this bed. Nice solid wood frame and plenty of bolts to keep this bed structurally sound for years. 10/10 highly recommend.

I love this bed frame. It has a beautiful dark walnut finish that looks even better in person, and I get compliments on it every time someone sees my bedroom. One of my favorite features is the tall headboard, which gives the bed a more substantial and high-end look. The entire frame feels incredibly sturdy, and all of the wood appears to be solid and well-made. I was also pleasantly surprised by the mattress support system. The wooden slats are strong and secure, and I’ve had absolutely no concerns about durability or support. Overall, this bed frame exceeded my expectations in both appearance and quality. If you’re considering buying it, I would highly recommend it.

Love it. It gives the high class feel that o was looking for. Very easy to put together. Directions were easy to read. Was able to assemble by myself in only a hour. Sturdy. It says you dont need a box spring tho I may get one jusy for some extra support and height off the ground. (My old bed was much higher). It arrived a week ahead of schedule so cant complain about that. Was able to have it for Christmas. Only issue i had was that they must have wrapped it right after the stain dried and locked in that smell of paint. Had to leave windows open for 3 days and sleep in guest room to air it out so I wouldn't get light headed when sleeping. All in all I am very happy with it and would buy again

This has to be one of the best hidden deals on Hawkins Woodshop in terms of value for the price. Granted, I did pick one up during Days, but even at regular price, I think the same. To start, this entire bed is solid wood... Not one piece of pressed wood fiber garbage to be seen. I mean that's fine for, say, a $100-200 bed, but you know what you're getting into at that price point. This is all stained wood, and nicely done too. Next, it seemed to be packed very well. Plenty of foam blocking and all finished surfaces were wrapped in foam. Since this is solid wood, be prepared... Two fairly large boxes will be arriving. The side rails are full length, not multiple parts you have to put together and hope for good rigidity. Again, quality build materials here. Third, all of the hardware comes packed and labelled well. Each bag matches up with different steps in the instructions. The biggest surprise was in the hardware itself. I haven't seen anything like this before in pre-pack furniture. The ancillary hardware (washers, lock washers) was already pre-attached to the bolts and somehow retained in place. No bags of dozens of loose bolts and washers to sort through and assemble. Just grab a bolt and go! The underbed bracing has two full-length support rails (vs. The normal one central rail). Both are securely bolted to the mattress slats, so they stay in place. There are even screws included to attach the outer edges of the mattress slats to the inner edge of the side rails to lock it all down into one solid assembly. I am not used to seeing that either, but I like it. Finally, one last small touch that's the chef's kiss. There were two pieces of hardware you put on at the end that may help to save your walls. You screw one on each side of the headboard at the top. They are meant to be an adjustable spacer to prevent you and your significant other from marking up the wall when the bed's a-rockin' when you are feeling frisky. Never seen that feature included from a manufacturer. The only real issue I had was small, but the diagrams in the instructions don't always match up with reality. The steps, hardware show, and explanations seemed spot on, but there were a few areas showing some of the wood pieces having holes where no holes existed or vice versa. When you are trying to orient pieces the right way, it can matter. It might have been a carryover from an older model or something. We've all been there before with this type of furniture and having to make sure you look where everything is to prevent redoing work later. I've yet to use this bed for weeks or months, so only time will tell how it holds up, so consider this an initial review. I'm really happy with this so far and delightfully surprised.

Great quality, just missing parts.
This bed is beautiful - solid wood and arrived in two boxes with zero damage. Giving 4 stars because the bolts that should have been in the footboard for the rails to attach to were missing. I reached out to Hawkins Woodshop and described the specific part missing, but they were not helpful. I went to Lowe's, bought new thread inserts and bolts, drilled the holes a tad bigger, and made new ones myself. Annoying and $22 more out of pocket, but it works especially at the price.
