This table is super solid and sturdy, plus the top has a nice waterproof laminate. I’ve got some plants on it, and any water spills don’t damage it at all. There’s tons of space on top and inside too. The doors took a little work to get used to, but after a few tries they open smoothly just fine. Worth it for a stylish, fun, and sturdy piece from Hawkins Woodshop.

I was pleasantly surprised by this product—it definitely exceeded my expectations for the price. The build quality is solid; there’s no wobble or loose parts. The rounded edges of the top and base give it a nicer look and are safer for kids. The sliding doors work well, which I was nervous about based on my past experiences. It took me almost 2 hours to assemble, and even if I were to do it again, I think it would still take over an hour, so I’m skeptical about some of the claims of faster assembly times. The instructions are all pictures and mostly clear, but step 10 caused some confusion with the plastic wedges for the back panels. It wasn’t obvious that they need to slide into grooves; I had to watch the video for clarity. Thankfully, all the hardware included at least one extra piece, which made me double-check everything! If you’re looking for tables with plugs and ports on the side or back, they exist, but I appreciate the sliding doors on this small table without losing the look. It’s convenient for plugging things in temporarily, though I’d suggest direct wall plugs for lamps.

Assembly was mostly straightforward!
This looks really nice, and the instructions were pretty easy to follow, though there were a couple parts that confused me. I had to attach some black plastic pieces to the back of the stand, but there were no markings to guide me. My biggest issue was that the doors didn’t align perfectly. Also, it's a bit smaller than I expected. UPDATE: Colby from Hawkins Woodshop contacted me to offer a full refund and asked for another picture of the problem. They figured out that I had put the doors on the wrong sides, which solved the issue. I’m happy to change my rating to 5 stars because of their great customer service and the product is good!

Better in all respects than expected for a reasonable price. The construction is solid, no wobble or loose pieces. The rounded corners of the top and base make for a higher-end appearance and safety, especially for children. The sliding doors function well--given past experience, that was a concern. Assembly took me nearly 2 hours. If I were to do a second one (no space, or I would), it would still require over an hour, so I question some of the reviews claiming much faster times. The instructions are entirely pictorial but clear, except for step 10, the plastic wedges for the back panels. The pictures do not make clear that these are wedges that slide into the grooves with the back panels (the pictures make it appear they are free-standing). Watching the video clarified how they were to be installed. All hardware came with at least one extra piece (3 extra large screws made me check everything to see if I missed a step!). For those wishing the plugs and charging ports were on side or the rear, such tables are available. But if you want sliding doors on a small table such as this, it would be impossible without compromising the aesthetics. And it is certainly convenient for temporary plug-ins--permanent stuff like lamps should be plugged directly into the wall anyway.
