Laundry has a way of spreading across a room until something contains it. This bin holds 42.3 gallons, or 160 liters, which is enough for a bulky wash load, a pile of towels, or a stack of folded blankets with room left over.
What separates it from a floppy fabric hamper is the frame. A metal skeleton runs through the body and carries the shape, so the basket stands on its own whether it is stuffed full or completely empty. Woven around that frame is PP rattan, which is waterproof and ventilated. Air moves through the sides instead of sitting still, and damp fabric does not soak into the weave. That ventilation matters more than it sounds like it should. Wet towels left in a sealed container turn musty in a day, and a basket that breathes gives you a longer window before laundry day becomes urgent.
The lid lifts with one hand. That sounds like a small thing until you are carrying a full armload of clothes, and it is usually the difference between using the hamper and dropping everything next to it. Cut out handles on both sides let you pick up a loaded basket and carry it down a hallway without wrapping your arms around it. The metal frame supports up to 66 pounds, so a heavy week is not a problem.
Inside sits a removable liner made from 160 g/m² polycotton fabric. Lift it out and wash it, by hand or in the machine, separately from the basket itself, then drop it back in. The liner is the part that actually gets dirty, and being able to clean it is why the basket still looks presentable well after the first month.
When you do not need it, the whole thing folds flat and slides into a closet or under a bed. The brown finish is neutral enough that it works in more than the laundry room. Put it beside the sofa for throw blankets, in a bedroom corner for everyday laundry, or on a closet shelf holding off season clothes.
