Tatami mat

Tatami Mattress

  • Made from natural igusa (rush grass), which provides a unique texture and a pleasant, calming fragrance.
  • Rushes (Igusa), also called Juncus effusus L., which is a kind of perennial herb.
  • Mats made from rushes, which can absorb and secrete moisture, are good for the human body.
  • When it is humid, countless air pores can absorb humidity.
  • When it is dry, the internal structure of rushes, similar to sponge, can release the moisture it contains.
  • With natural ingredients and without dust and dyeing material, it has the advantage of being cool like a bamboo mat and being light and soft like the sub-grass.
  • Therefore, a cycle of moisture in the structure is formed, delivering comfort by making it cool in summer and warm in winter.

Please Note:

Due to the natural properties of rush grass, you may notice some color transfer when you first wipe it with a well-wrung, damp cloth. This is completely normal and not a defect. The color will stabilize after initial care.
