Great Chair for Posture
Overall, this chair is pretty solid. It was simple to put together, and the magnetic pillow is comfortable and stays in place well. The seat is firm but shapes to you after a little while, which is nice. The lumbar support is adjustable and works well. Just keep in mind, the backrest feels a bit hard at first, especially if you’re used to softer chairs, so it might take some time to get used to sitting correctly. I did have an issue with my backrest having crooked logo stitching, and after a week, the lumbar support started to make some creaking noises, which is kind of annoying but doesn't affect how it feels. I did notice some damage on the height adjustment knob too. I've reached out to Colby about this and I'm waiting to hear back. For the cost, it’s frustrating that these things happened. Updated: After getting in touch with Colby, they sent me a replacement backrest that feels much better than the original. The new one is softer, and the lumbar support actually adjusts now. The stitching on this one is perfect, but I had to work a bit to get one bolt in because of some damage in the hole. Overall, I’m happier with the chair now.

Hawkins Woodshop really put a lot of thought into this chair. It’s clear they care about both design and the user experience. At first, I wasn’t sure why the back supports were extended during shipping, but once I started putting it together, it made total sense. Instead of balancing the seat on a wobbly base, I flipped the chair upside down to attach the base—stable and safe. The assembly instructions were also great; the large images made it easy to follow, and everything was organized by steps. The chair itself is, too. I can see myself using it for a long time.

Great chair, no more back pain!
I checked out this chair along with the Kaiser 3. While the Kaiser 3 is nice, it had these big plastic holes that dug into my shoulder blades. The Secretlab Chair might look smaller, but it’s actually really comfy and sturdy. I'm 5'11 and weigh 180lbs and the Regular size is just right for me. If you’re 6'1 or taller, you might want to consider the XL size. I used to have a cheap $100 chair for three years, so this one is a upgrade. Putting it together was simple, and the instructions were clear. Plus, it was packaged well.
