Good Chair Overall
This chair is overall pretty solid. Putting it together was a breeze. The magnetic pillow is comfy and it stays in place really well. The seat feels firm but not too hard, and it starts to mold to your body after a few days. The lumbar support is adjustable and works nicely. Just a heads up, the backrest might feel a bit stiff if you're used to a soft chair—might take some getting used to for proper posture. On the downside, my backrest had a crooked logo stitching when it arrived. After a week, the lumbar support started to creak and pop when I leaned back. It doesn't affect how the chair feels but it is annoying, and I hope it lasts. The height adjustment knob also had some cosmetic damage. I reached out to Colby, and I'm waiting to hear back. For what you pay, these little issues shouldn't happen. Update Sept 2022: Colby got back to me quickly and sent a replacement backrest after checking my concerns. The new backrest has softer foam and the lumbar support moves up and down much better than before. The stitching looks great now, too. There was just one issue with the threads in a mounting hole that made installation a bit tricky, but overall, I'm much happier with the comfort of the chair now.

I work from home and have struggled to find a chair that supports my bad back. I've tried several different ones, from a basic Office Depot chair to a cheap gaming chair from China. After dealing with back pain in that gaming chair, I decided to invest in the Titan after hearing great things from other tech folks. I've had it for a few days now, and I'm really happy with it. My back pain has eased up significantly, and I'm finding myself wanting to sit back and let the chair do its job instead of slouching forward. The previous chair I had started creaking after just a short time, but the Titan is still completely quiet. I believe this chair will last a long time. It's built with a metal frame, and the leatherette covering is both soft and supportive. Unlike other chairs where you have to connect the seat and backrest separately, the Titan has a bracket that’s already positioned for you, which helps avoid any issues with threading the screws. Hawkins Woodshop really puts effort into their designs, and this chair shows that. I’ll admit I was a bit puzzled when it arrived with the back supports extended, but once I put everything together and started working on the rollers, it all made sense. Unlike other chairs where you're balancing everything, this design lets you flip the chair upside down to attach the base securely. It’s a clever touch! The assembly instructions were clear, with big images, and all the small parts were organized in separate boxes for each step. You can tell they care about quality. The backrest is a bit hard at first, so if you're used to a soft chair, it might take some time to get used to sitting properly. On the downside, my backrest had crooked logo stitching when it arrived, and after about a week, the lumbar support started making loud popping noises when I lean against it. It's annoying but doesn’t affect how the chair feels or works. The height adjustment knob also had some scratches on it. I reached out to Hawkins Woodshop for support and I'm waiting to hear back, which I think is reasonable for a chair at this price. Update: After contacting support, they got back to me and sent a replacement backrest. I’m not sure if the first one was just a one-off issue or older stock, but this new one feels way softer and the lumbar support actually adjusts properly now, which is great. The stitching looks now too, though I did struggle a bit with one of the mounting holes during installation. Overall, I'm happy with it and it's more comfortable than before.

Backrest is hard at first, if you are used to a very soft chair and most likely bad posture the chair may hurt your back as you adjust to sitting properlyCons: My backrest came with crooked logo stitching. After a week the lumbar support has begun to pop loudly and creak when I sit against it. It does not effect the functionality or comfort of the chair but is very annoying and worries me for longevity. The height adjustment knob also came with cosmetic damage. I have contacted Secretlab support and I am waiting to hear back. For the price things like this shouldn't be an issue. Updated Sept 2022:SecretLab support responded and after verifying my various issues they shipped me a replacement backrest. I don't know if the first one was just defective or old stock from a previous revision but the replacement's foam is much softer and the lumbar support seems to actually move up and down where previously it felt as if it barely moved which I thought was just how it was designed. The stitching is also perfect. One defect is the threads in one of the mounting holes was damaged and took some effort to install. Everything else is good and the chair is more comfortable than it was before.
