Hybrid
This mattress arrives in a convenient, vacuum-sealed package that makes it easy to handle and transport, even in tight spaces. Once you've opened the package, you can expect it to expand and retain its full size within 24 to 48 hours, so that you can enjoy its comfort without a long wait. The mattress is free of any unpleasant odors, making it ready for use right away without needing to air out. The mattress cover is crafted from a breathable, soft knitted fabric that not only enhances comfort but also promotes airflow, helping prevent overheating during the night. This feature is especially beneficial for those who tend to sleep hot. Designed as a hybrid model, this mattress seamlessly combines layers of high-quality memory foam with pocketed springs. The memory foam layer is infused with cooling gel, which helps regulate body temperature while conforming to your shape, thereby providing targeted support and pressure relief for a variety of sleep positions—from side to back to stomach sleepers. The individually wrapped pocketed springs work in tandem with the foam, offering exceptional support and minimizing motion transfer. This means that if you share the bed with a partner, you’re less likely to be disturbed by their movements during the night. Ultimately, this mattress aims to deliver a pain-free, restful sleep experience, helping you wake up rejuvenated each morning.

Hard to beat for the price
I originally had an 8-inch orthopedic mattress, so I bought this one after needing a replacement when something happened to my old bed. My previous mattress was a different brand that I also purchased on Hawkins Woodshop a few years ago. Everything seems normal so far, although my mattress spent about two months in transit. I’m not sure if that affected anything, but after a few hours of expanding, it reached a little over 11 inches, which was enough to sleep on. Since it hasn’t fully expanded yet, I’m going to wait before making a final judgment. The first thing I noticed is that it’s definitely softer than what I’m used to. My old mattress was only 8 inches thick and mostly made of springs, and I generally prefer firmer mattresses. Even so, this one is still comfortable and feels supportive. I’m about 150 pounds, and I don’t feel like I’m sinking into it. The top edges don’t seem quite as sturdy as advertised, but the sides hold their shape well when I’m lying near the edge. They don’t collapse or give that “fully sunken in” feeling that some cheaper mattresses do. There was also no noticeable odor after opening it, which was a nice surprise. If you prefer a very firm mattress, this probably isn’t the best choice for you. It has a softer feel while still providing good support. Overall, I think it’s worth the price. At around $130 for a 12-inch mattress, it’s hard to find a better deal. The quality feels solid for the cost, and I also like that it has side handles, which make it much easier to move around. The mattress being black is also an advantage when speaking about stains, lol. *ps, don’t mind the unmade bed, I was still letting it fluff up. I slept on it the next night and it was way more comfortable. Almost didn’t want to get up this morning, lol.*
