The package was quite heavy at almost 100 lbs, so I opened it right by the front door and carried everything to the room. The box was in great condition and not a single part was damaged. Putting the bed together was pretty straightforward; I managed to do it on my own in around 2 hours, though the drawers took a bit more time. Everything was labeled clearly, and I appreciated having extra pieces for all the screws and bolts. All the holes lined up perfectly during assembly. I loved the plastic caps on the wood slats, which saved me from having to screw in each one. The drawers glide nicely on our carpet, and keep closed thanks to a hook that slots in. The electrical outlets worked just fine—we plugged in two phones and a lamp with no issues. The quality is what I expected for the cost—not quite like high-end furniture shops, but definitely sturdy and solid; it doesn't wobble or squeak. Unless you're jumping on it or something wild like that, I don't think it will break. I'd buy from Hawkins Woodshop again if I need another.

I’m really happy with this bed frame! It took my husband about two hours to put together with our puppy 'helping' out. Everything you need is included in a neat blister pack—just a single tool to use! I found it easier to cut a little slit in the back to grab the parts without spilling all the hardware everywhere. The drawers can be a little tricky, but considering the price, I didn't expect them to glide perfectly. They still offer a lot of storage for our bedding, including six sheet sets and an extra bedspread. Once set up, the frame is stable and doesn't make any squeaks or noises at all, which is great since we have tile flooring. It doesn’t slide around, which is a big plus for us. I'm really happy with this bed! First off, everything arrived in great shape with no damage. The drawers work well and lock securely, but they can be a bit tricky to align, so I'd prefer to only open them occasionally. The storage shelf is great and the gray color is nice. It looks far more expensive than it is. My mattress is 13 inches, and the bed height feels just right to me. The instructions were straightforward, just be mindful of the diagrams regarding hole orientation. I love the charging station on top and the shelf is pretty cute! On the downside, the box was heavy to lift by myself, and since the headboard has sides, I would need to keep it a few inches away from the wall to use my nightstand comfortably. Also, moving the bed to access the plug isn't easy, so that outlet is pretty much just for the bed.

Cut a slash in the back of the parts you need to access without causing all the hardware to be loose. The drawers are a bit fiddly to use but for the cost of the bed frame I wouldn’t expect gliders/rails. The drawers do offer quite a bit of storage space. I store our bedding in them (6 sheet sets, shams, extra bedspread). The frame makes no squeaks, rattles, weird sounds at all. It also stays in place on my tile floor. This is a huge deal for us. Everything wants to slide in tile. This bed is heavy enough to stay put and I’m thankful for it. The outlet on the headboard is very handy to have and you can’t see it at all if it’s not in use.
