Surprisingly sturdy and sleek!
I was a bit unsure about the quality when I first ordered, but I’m really happy I did. This shelf is solid and just what I needed. I took my time putting it together and it feels stable and durable. I haven’t counted my records yet, but I've managed to fit almost three crates on it with some extra space left. I do wish the bottom shelf was about an inch deeper since my records hang over a bit, but I like the height and how easy it is to flip through the top shelf. The shelves are thick and sturdy, though the backing for the bottom shelf is a little flimsy MDF. It’s okay since it’s against the wall.

Fantastic storage for vinyl lovers
If you're like me and have been building up your vinyl collection, this storage unit might just be what you need. I spent a good amount of time exploring different record furniture options from Hawkins Woodshop and finally settled on this one. It fits my albums perfectly and feels sturdy, both on the top and bottom shelves. I love the vintage vibe of the top, it reminds me of those record shops where you can flip through the albums. I can't say if it’ll hold exactly what’s listed because it depends on whether you have single or double albums, but I prefer not to stuff everything in so I can easily grab what I want without worrying about damage. Now, for the assembly part: it arrived in a surprisingly compact box, but everything was packed neatly and labeled well. I took a little under two hours to put it together, but I like to take my time and lay everything out before diving in. I did get some better tools, which I recommend, especially a ratcheting screwdriver instead of the Allen keys provided. A power drill isn't the best choice either, as you don't want to over-tighten things. Pay special attention to how the legs are attached; they need to flare out, and make sure the upper grates are aligned correctly. There are some extra screws, which is always nice. Overall, the instructions were clear, the quality is solid, and it looks great. I hope this helps someone else make their decision!

This stand is great for displaying vinyl records and it looks nice too. The bottom sections have enough space for records stored with the edges out, while the top parts let you show off records like in a store—plus, they can hold stuffed animals or other items! It took me around an hour to assemble since there are quite a few pieces, and getting the legs on was tricky, but the instructions were easy to follow. Definitely use a better hex wrench than the one that comes with it! Overall, the stand exceeded my expectations. If you're on the fence about buying this, I say go for it—it's a solid option for vinyl storage without breaking the bank.

I was surprised when the package arrived and couldn't believe how small the box was. It was nonetheless very packed well with all parts separately wrapped in plastic, and cardboard or styrofoam between them. Every part was labelled with a letter and I found the instructions very easy to follow. All holes were perfectly aligned and I wonder whether the reviewers who reported issues had parts in the wrong way (as some parts definitely have a correct orientation). Assembly took about 90 mins, although I was watching tv at the time. It looks great and appears good quality for the money. I wish it was a little heftier, but for the price I can't complain.

Perfect look and feel
If you are someone who has regrown their vinyl collection and needed better storage that is retro in style but well made and functional, than this piece may be for you. I took a long time looking at many different styles of record storage furniture on Hawkins Woodshop and ended up choosing this model due to this. It holds my albums perfectly and is well made and very strong to hold them all whether on the top or bottom. I particularly like the look of the top as it reminds me of the record shops that have the same way to thumb through their records for sale. I see no issues with it holding the maximum amount but that will vary depending on if you have single or double editions of albums etc. As others have said I don't know that it will or won't hold the amount listed in the description. For me I wouldn't want everything crammed in each compartment as I want to be able to easily go through the collection to pick out my next listen as well as to not have to worry about any damage. For those that are interested in the details of assembly please continue to read on otherwise I am very happy with the purchase and I should have bought two. Assembly: This came in a smaller box than I expected but was very well packed and everything was labeled properly. I timed the assembly from unpacking to completion and it was a bit less than 2 hrs. Now please note I have no doubt you can assemble much quicker however I am one to lay everything out by part number and likeness, get all of the assembly hardware nicely laid out as well and actually look through the assembly manual and the finished product pictures to get a sense of what I am up against. I also ended up getting some better tools as another reviewer suggested as the ones provided, although they would work, was not the most efficient nor the best quality. However if you have nothing else they will work but know it will take a bit more effort. I suggest a ratcheting type of screwdriver with the right hex bits instead of the two Allen keys that were provided along with a standard Phillips head bit.. I don't suggest a power drill as this type of ikea style assembly is prone to over tightening with such tools and you definitely want to be snug but not over-tighten anything on here so a more manual approach is better in my opinion. Some key areas to watch for is how you are installing the legs as they must be flaring outward to work properly and the upper front and back grates need to make sure they are installed properly as there attachment points must be aligned properly so they fit right. You will notice that the attachment points on each grate are measure differently with one higher than the other so when they are both attached the attachment points are one on the top and one on the bottom so it is even across the front and the back. Hard to explain but once you see it you will understand in the pictures in the manual. There are extra hardware left over so don't think you missed anything and I like it when they include extra just in case. All in all, the instructions were good and the quality was great for its intended purpose and of course the look is great as well. Hope this review helped at least one person to make a decision or help with assembly.
