Tough to switch between couch and bed
We got this for our 13-year-old and she really likes it. I’d give it about an 8 out of 10. It took my husband, our kid, and me around 2 hours to put it together. The instructions were mostly clear, but you need to think a little—just follow the pictures and take your time! It came with one allen key, but luckily my husband had some extras so all three of us could work on it. Even with help, it still took us that long! The futon frame feels solid and sturdy. The queen mattress does leave a small gap, like others mentioned, but I managed to adjust it so it’s not too noticeable—maybe about 2 inches on each side, easily fixed with some pillows. Transitioning it from bed back to couch is tricky! It’s a two-person job, as the reviews say. I told my daughter to figure it out, and she got clever—she tied some scarves to the back of the futon on each side and stood in the middle, pulling the scarves while pushing with her knees. The mattress came rolled up, so I let it sit flat and rolled on it to smooth out the bumps. If it weren’t for the couch-to-bed transition being so tough, I would’ve given it a score. No defects or scratches, it arrived on time, and everything was included. Just a heads up, it comes in three boxes, not two: the arms, the bed frame, and the mattress.

Great addition to my home office
I’m transforming my upstairs home office to make it cozier and to have a spot for guests to sleep. After quite a bit of searching and a suggestion from a friend, I decided on the Nirvana model in the full size. It comes with everything (the mattress arrives a few days later) and wasn’t too difficult to put together. The instructions were pretty clear. I managed to assemble it on my own, but two people would definitely make it easier. The end product is sturdy, looks great, and feels comfortable! The frame is made in Indonesia and the mattress is made in the USA. The wood finish is tough and held up well even with my not-so-skilled assembly. Happy with my purchase!

This futon is a solid piece of furniture. As mentioned by others, the mattress comes separately from the frame, which took around two weeks to arrive after the frame, but that’s understandable given the current situation. The frame itself is really well made and designed. It took me about 1.5 to 2 hours to assemble, and the process was smooth—everything fit together nicely and the instructions were clear. I’m pleased with it. It'll be used for occasional guests and also serves as extra seating when needed. It feels comfortable for guests as a bed, though it’s a futon and not a standard mattress. I noticed a small dent on the arm that seemed to happen during shipping. Plus, one of the shorter legs had a metal piece that's a bit misaligned. I reached out for replacement parts, and Colby got back to me in under two hours, saying they'd send the parts out the same day. That's fantastic customer service! As for the rest, the setup was straightforward, the frame feels solid, the mattress is comfy, and it does look nice. I checked out the reviews before deciding to buy this bed frame. It took me around an hour to put it together by myself with power tools, but if you’re not used to assembling things, I’d suggest setting aside about two hours for it and maybe getting a buddy to help. There are parts where you have to hold up the whole frame while screwing in bolts, which can be a bit tricky. The futon frame is solid for the price. I wish I could’ve just bought the frame and chosen a different mattress, since they arrive separately. The mattress isn’t comfy at all; I could feel the bars underneath when lying on it, and I weigh about 150 pounds. I opened it right after it arrived, so it is what it is, and I wish I had heeded the reviews. I’ve since ordered a topper to make it more bearable. To be honest, the mattress feels cheap. The white strings used to hold the interior together snapped in several spots before I even had it set up. So, in short... Definitely get the frame, but skip the mattress.
