This is just what we were looking for, and it looks great! We got two of them – one for our Chihuahua and the other for our Yorkshire Terrier. We put a cozy pad inside to protect the wood, and their beds and blankets fit perfectly. I even attached food and water dishes, along with puppy pads for when we're at work. My chihuahua can hold it, but my terrier struggles a bit. This housing unit is ideal in terms of quality and use, easy to put together, and it arrived faster than I thought it would!

I recently picked up this piece from Hawkins Woodshop, and I’m really impressed with the quality. First, let me break it down: 1. Style: A++ for the style! The finish is gorgeous, and I love that it's tall enough to serve as either a buffet table or a credenza. The big top is for showcasing photos and knickknacks. Right now, I'm using it as a sofa table, which gives my guests a great place to set their drinks. 2. Construction: Putting it together was easy. The instructions were clear, which made the process pretty straightforward. I was careful with the hardware since it all felt strong, and nothing stripped out with the tools I was using. It took me about 30 minutes total, which is not bad at all. 3. Practicality: I have a chocolate lab that weighs 85 lbs, and the XL kennel fits him perfectly with plenty of room to stand and move around. Now I just need to get a memory foam pad for him, and he'll be all set. The large doors are great for easy access, and I like the wooden slat design; it keeps him safe while giving him a good view. The only thing I noticed was that they mentioned end table height, but it’s actually more like sofa table height, which I prefer. The color options are also a nice touch. A great-looking crate at a nice price
This crate is a fantastic buy. It looks exactly like the pictures, and it was easy to put together—the instructions and hardware worked perfectly. It's mostly real wood, probably pine or rubberwood since it's made in Thailand. I didn't see any flaws in the finish either. Just a heads up, if your dog isn't crate trained or tends to get anxious, this might not be the best fit. It's well made, but if a dog wants out, they will find a way. If you're planning to keep your dog in there while you're away, you might want to go for a standard metal crate instead. I was actually thinking about building a custom crate to match our furniture, but when I found this one, it caught my eye. The stain is close to our bedroom set, and the price—$205 with tax and free delivery—was a solid deal. I would have spent more on materials to build something similar. While my custom crate might have been sturdier and perfectly matched the stain, this one is a 95% match, saved me some cash, and saved me a lot of time. I'm glad I decided on this crate. It's a great product for a good price. My 85lb Rhodesian Ridgeback loves it, which makes me happy too.

I got these two crates (a large and a small) a little while ago, but just recently put them together and started using them. They’re a great size—my Pit Bull loves the large one and has plenty of room to walk right in without ducking. She can stand up, turn around, and lay down comfortably. The small crate is perfect for my two older lap dogs. They’re both around 15 years old and pretty chill, so they don’t bother each other. One sleeps at the back and the other by the door. They’ve been crate-trained for years, so this setup feels normal for them. The nice thing about these tables is they replace those bulky wire crates that my sensitive Pit Bull used to scratch herself on. Now they have a cozy place to sleep that also doubles as a table! Just a heads up though—these aren't for pets who aren't crate-trained or for puppies just starting out. Accidents can happen, and I wouldn’t want a big mess ruining the wood. My dogs are older, so I didn’t have this issue, but if you find some sort of liner that fits well, that could help. This is just my honest take on the product. My pups are a little confused right now when I call them 'beds,' but they’re catching on. Just a heads up: I wouldn’t recommend these for pets that aren’t crate-trained or if you’re trying to train a puppy, as accidents may happen. A big mess could ruin the table, unlike a standard hard plastic or metal crate. Since my dogs are older and trained, I’m not worried about that. I bought these (a large and a small) a while back but just recently assembled & started using them. They're nicely sized. The large one is where my Pit Bull sleeps at night. There's more than enough room for her to walk into it normally (no ducking or back-swaying) She can't stand normally inside it, turn around freely and sleep comfortably. The small one is shared by my 2 small lap dogs. They're old (about 15 years old) so they're not active or hyper, they don't jump all over each other. One sleeps towards the back of the table/crate and the other sleeps in the front by the door. My dogs have been crate trained for many years now so crating at night isn't new to them. It's their "normal", it's what they're used to. These tables just eliminated the big clunky wire crates (that my sensitive skinned Pit Bull would use to rub her back on until it bled.) Now they still get crated but their "crates" are also tables that can be used for all sorts of things. Below I will list pros/cons:Pros:• It's a table dog crate. It's genius!• Not an eyesore like most standard "dog crates"• Perfect for dog owners who crate their dog(s) and don't have a lot of room/space. Since the crate is a table, you get a product that has multiple uses.• The tables are sturdy. Cons: If you're like me and have dogs who have been crate trained for a long time, these tables will be an adjustment. Used to just have to holler out "Beds!" And my dogs would run to their crates & get in. They seem to be slightly confused by the tables being "beds". Lol, but they learn fast. Side note: I would not recommend these to animal owners whose pets are not at all familiar with crates or completely crate trained. I would not use these to start crate training a puppy or an animal that has "accidents" regularly inside the house. Simply because when beginning to crate train for the first time, especially with puppies/young dogs, accidents are bound to happen. These tables are exactly that: tables. A large amount of urine or a pee puddle that isn't cleaned up immediately would probably warp/ruin the floor of the table crate. Regular dog crates are usually either hard plastic or metal wire with a plastic bottom, which aren't affected by accidents/getting wet. Since my dogs are older and have been crate trained for years, this wasn't a concern or issue for myself. Also, because of that, I haven't looked into liners or plastic trays that could fit the area inside the crate table. If you could find something like that, that would fit the entire area, accidents wouldn't be too damaging. But it would need to fit snuggly, side to side-back to front, with no spaces.:::Above is my own personal opinions on the product. I purchased, assembled and use the product. I did not receive this product/crate table for free and I did not receive it at a discounted rate in exchange for my honest review. An excellent looking crate for a very nice price
This crate is a great value. It looks exactly as shown in the pictures online, goes together very easily, the instructions and hardware were all without issue. The crate is mostly real wood (other than the 1/4" ply or mdf panels along the bottom), probably pine or rubberwood as it is made in Thailand. I didn't notice any flaws in the stain / poly coating. If you have a dog that is not crate trained and relaxed don't get it. It isn't poorly made, it isn't a doggy jail though. If a dog really wants out, they will get out. If you have concerns about this, get a standard metal mesh crate and use that, until your dog is good with it. If you use your crate to kennel the dog any time you aren't home, this is the wrong crate for your use. I was initially going to build a custom crate and stain it to match our furniture. I was looking around at lots of furniture style crates online when I came across this one. The stain was very close to the rest of our bedroom set, it was real wood, and the price $205 with tax and free delivery. That was worth the role of the dice to see if it was decent. I'd have spent more than 200 bucks easily in wood, glue, fasteners, and stain / poly to make a similar crate. The one I'd made might have been more sturdy and 100% matched the stain of our bedroom furniture. This crate was a 95% match though, saved me a bit of money, and probably a full day plus of work to build and finish a custom crate. I'm happy I bought this crate. It is a great product at an excellent price point. My 85lb Rhodesian Ridgeback is enjoying it and that makes me happy.
