Customer Reviews
Strong and sturdy
I chose this record player for its retro vibe, and I’m really happy with it! It fits perfectly into my decor and looks in my room. The unit feels strong and sturdy. It came in a heavy box, and even though I read some reviews expecting complications, putting it together was pretty straightforward. I had a friend helping me, which was handy. Some people mentioned they could only get two screws in the legs, but we had no trouble getting all four in. Just a heads up, the dimensions can be a bit misleading; the sides are taller than the top, so my player fits only because it has rubber feet underneath. But overall, if you love the retro style, this is a great deal at £113!

A Few Tips for Assembly
If you're not the most mechanically inclined or tend to fumble a bit, just remember to not take it too hard on yourself. This wood stand is solid and real, not some cheap particle board, but it’s not made from heavy hardwoods like Walnut either. Just manage your expectations and be careful when assembling. Please, whatever you do, don’t overtighten the screws! That seems to lead to most breakages. Make sure you’ve got good lighting and glasses if needed, tighten the screws until the gaps close but stop right there. If it’s hard to see the gap, go slowly. A quarter turn at a time works great. You really don’t need to crank it tight; just check with a piece of paper to see if it can fit in the gaps. This stand isn’t going to be thrown around; it will just hold records and such. Now, about the piece itself—it's honestly stunning for what you pay. The wood grain is lovely, making it look much pricier than it is. I bought this as a present, and I’m sure the recipient will love it. I was surprised how easy it was to put together—probably took me about five minutes. Just pull everything out, check the labeled parts, and follow the instructions carefully to avoid assembling something wrong. A little tip for those who might struggle a bit: using a pillow to prop things can help keep the pieces steady while you screw them in. If you apply too much sideways pressure, you might break some wood; nobody wants that. So, get someone to help if you need it. Just remember to gently snug everything and don’t keep turning if you hear any cracking. Overall, it's a beautiful stand for the price, and I’m thrilled with my purchase. Big thanks to Hawkins Woodshop for making this possible!

Great for Limited Space
This is just the right size for my record player and records, without taking up too much space. It was simple to put together and it looks nice. I do wish the dividers could be adjusted, but honestly, that’s not a big issue for me.
