Great Large Crate with Chewer Tips
We got the large crate for our two small dogs who share it, and we're really happy with how it looks compared to the wire crate we used for years. It doubles as nice furniture in our living room! Assembly was straightforward; doing it solo is fine, but having an extra set of hands helps. One of our dogs loves to chew, so we made the crate chewer-proof. We picked up some 1/4 inch hardware cloth from the local hardware store—10’ x 2’ was just right for this crate. We only had to trim it down a bit for length, and the height was spot on, using #8 x 1/2” screws which fit perfectly. It’s also possible to install it after assembly if needed. I’ve seen people suggest plexiglass, but I think the hardware cloth is simpler. Just remember to drill pilot holes and wear gloves since the metal can be sharp. Overall, this crate changes the vibe in our living room; it’s practical, functional, and looks great. Plus, our cats love using it as a lookout perch! The only small hiccup is the hinge system—it’s a bit lacking, making the door rub when you open and close it. We just lift it slightly to help and plan to add a handle to make it easier. I’m also thinking of adding an anti-fatigue mat for extra comfort and noise reduction. I recommend this! We’ve only had it a few weeks, but so far, we’re pleased.

Great for my dogs, with a few adjustments needed
I got a large and a small table crate from Hawkins Woodshop a while back, and I just started using them. They’re a great size! My Pit Bull comfortably sleeps in the large one without needing to duck or turn awkwardly to get in and out. The small crate is shared between my two older lap dogs, and they’ve settled in nicely. They’ve been crate trained for a long time, so that part is no problem. These tables are so much better than the bulky wire crates they used to have. They double as tables too, which is a clever design. Pros: - Love that it’s a table dog crate—makes so much sense! - Doesn’t look like a typical dog crate, so it fits in better with my home decor. - Perfect for those with limited space since it serves more than one purpose. - The build feels sturdy; I’m not worried about them falling apart. Cons: If your pets have been crate trained for a while, it might take a bit of getting used to. My dogs were confused at first, thinking it was just another bed. Haha! Also, keep in mind that if you have a pet that’s not crate trained, these aren’t the best choice for starting out. I wouldn’t want a puppy learning in this since any accidents could mess up the table’s surface. Regular crates are more forgiving in that sense, but for my older dogs, these have been a great fit. Overall, I’m happy with my purchase!

A really nice crate at a great price
This crate is a fantastic deal. It looks just like the photos online, was easy to assemble, and everything came together without any issues. It’s mostly made of real wood—looks like pine or rubberwood—and the stain/poly finish seems flawless. Just a heads up, if your dog isn’t crate trained yet, this might not be the best choice. It's not poorly built, but if a determined dog wants out, they can do it. So if you plan to use it whenever you're not home, you might want to consider a metal crate instead. Originally, I thought about building a custom crate to match our furniture, but then I found this one. The stain is close to our bedroom set, it's solid wood, and at $205 with tax and free shipping, it felt like a good gamble. I would’ve spent more than that on wood, glue, and all the finishing stuff to make one myself. While my homemade version might have matched perfectly and been sturdier, this one is about a 95% match and saved me some cash and a lot of time. Overall, I'm thrilled with this crate. It's a quality product at a great price, and my 85-pound Rhodesian Ridgeback loves it too!

Great product
The packaging was done really well. The item took a hit during shipping, but thanks to the careful packing, it arrived in great shape and was a breeze to set up. It’s for a dog of the right size. However, I’ve seen some people trying to use it for larger dogs, and honestly, it's not meant to be a cage. If you're locking your dog in this, it might be time to rethink having that dog.

I picked up both a large and a small version of these table dog crates a while ago, and I finally got around to putting them together. They fit my dogs really well! The large crate is for my Pit Bull; she can walk in without ducking and can turn around comfortably to sleep. The small one works great for my two older lap dogs, who are about 15. They have a routine and know how to settle in at night, so adjusting to these new tables has been pretty smooth, even if they initially seemed a bit confused. The best part is that I no longer have those bulky wire crates that my Pit Bull used to rub against, which wasn't good for her skin. Now, these crates double as tables, making the most of the space I have. Pros: • clever design - a table that’s also a crate! • They look nice compared to typical dog crates. • handy for those who need to save space since they serve multiple purposes. • They are sturdy enough to last. Cons: If your pets aren’t already crate trained, I wouldn’t recommend these yet. They aren’t ideal for starting crate training with puppies or animals that have accidents, since they’re tables and can be damaged if not cleaned right away. I haven’t thought about getting any liners or trays for them, but that could help a lot. Overall, I’m happy with my purchase and hope this helps others considering them!
