Easy to put together by yourself.
Was easy to put together by myself, however, having a second person to hold a piece or help align something is useful, but it can be done on your own in an afternoon. I recommend getting furniture slider pads for under the feet if you're on hardwood/vinyl floors. Didn't need any extra tools to put it together, the instructions were super clear and easy to follow. I don't know about the slats because I got a board base to go on top, but they are very flexible.

Did not last long, but could be worth buying.
Lasted for 1 1/2 years before one of the hangers broke broke. I'm not particularly heavy, not sure why this happened.
